As part of Open Studio residency program of the Fonderia Artistica Battaglia, under the artistic direction of CURA., The Swiss artist based in New York, Yves Scherer (b.1987) presents his new sculpture “BOY”.
The residency is the result of the original evolution of Yves Scherer’s researches on the archetypes of masculinity and childhood, in a work that combines technology, mechanics and the ancient techinique of lost wax casting.
The presentation of the work will be accompanied by a conversation with the curator Samuel Leuenberger.
