Asia, North Africa, Eastern Europe, South America: different countries, even different continents, contribute to create “Made in Italy” products. MINIMUM translates the minimum wage laws of eight countries that mostly contribute to the production of Made in Italy, and builds a dialogue among countries offering the brand and those providing manufacturing and packaging. A dialogue that constantly transforms itself in exchange of goods, business, and views.

MINIMUM is based on a series of works – installations, sculptures and drawings –and it is an artist’s book with critical texts written by Franco “Bifo” Berardi, Silvana Borutti and Matthias Reichelt, where translation is an encounter of differences.

Together with the artist, eight persons of different nationalities (Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Benedictine, Moroccan, Turkish, Romanian and Portuguese) will read aloud three articles of the Italian Collective National Agreement for the textile industry (2014) in their various languages.
