‘Fremdkörper’ introduces several notions of the body, as seen from different angles. It brings together selected artistic practices and concepts, statements and second thoughts concerning non—normativity, in light of current political developments increasing control of bodies. It attempts however to take form of a non—mapping, bringing closer quite elusive genders and origins and at the same time evading their labelling. Throughout the exhibition and public programme, we focus on shapeshifting and overlooked positions (not only queer, feminist, other non—binary and trans—representations). We present them in different formats spanning from archives, artefacts or artworks and ephemeral gestures responding to several questions.
